Michelle Rudd

I am a North Devon artist inspired by the beauty, diversity, and fragility of the natural world. Living on the Hartland Peninsula, my work explores wildlife, landscapes, and the intricate details often overlooked in nature.

Working in pencil, acrylic, and linocut, I use light, shadow, texture, and contrast to celebrate the environment while drawing attention to the growing threats it faces—from pesticide use and habitat loss to our continued reliance on fossil fuels.

Through my work, I hope to encourage people to look more closely, value the wildlife around them, and recognise that protecting nature begins with appreciating it.
