Group show @89Redruth - 2nd to 6th Sept 2026
Based on Dartmoor, I am a printmaker whose work explores the shared vulnerability of place and people. Working primarily with collagraph, drypoint, and other intaglio printmaking techniques, I create richly layered images that bridge observation with expressive mark-making.
Inspired by the natural world, I return to recurring motifs; birds, figures, and weathered trails, which act as quiet witnesses to moments of calm, transformation, and belonging. My landscapes and portraits are deeply rooted in my lived experience, seeking to capture the essence and emotion of places and character.
The physical nature of printmaking; cutting, scraping, layering, wiping, and reworking the plate, is central to my practice. I embrace texture and chance and each print retains the tactile traces of its creation. I favour muted palettes, earthy tones, and subtle shifts in light and mark-making to evoke changing weather, the path ahead, and moments of reflection and stillness.
Ultimately, my work celebrates the enduring connections between people, place, and the natural world, offering intimate observations of a sense of being home.
